ABOUT Joint Telematics Group of IITs & IISc

The Joint Telematics Group (JTG) comprises of faculty in the area of Telecommunications and Computer Networking from the Indian Institute of Technology at Bombay, New Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Under the aegis of the MHRD, the group has worked cohesively over the last ten years in the disseminating knowledge in these areas to faculty from other engineering colleges and to industry, as well as developing state-of-the-art products for Indian industry. The activities of the JTG are co-ordinated by a committee of faculty members from each IIT and IISc. During the last decade each IIT & IISc have developed expertise in specific, mostly non-intersecting areas such as telecommunication networks, wireless communications, digital signal processing, mobile communications and networking etc.
