ABOUT AOCS

The Latin American Section of AOCS is a section operating under the American Oil Chemists Society, or AOCS. Having made a mark in scientific research and advancements in the field of fats and lipids, the AOCS is the globally trusted knowledge reserve for its member community as well as the non members from across the world. This US based organization was established in 1909 and since then it has been making efforts to create successful platforms for knowledge sharing and exchange of expertise. Headquartered in Urbana, Illinois, the Latin American Section of AOCS is currently being led by its President, Mr. Roberto Berbesi. This section is actively involved in creating a convergence of professionals and experts from South America, Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean. The Latin American Congress and Exhibition on Fats and Oils is a major conference to be organized by this section.
