ABOUT Lithuanian University of Agriculture

Lithuanian University of Agriculture, abbreviated as LZUU, is one the most eminent universities of not only in Lithuania but in Western Europe and Scandinavian countries as well. Started in 1924 as the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture, the history of this university is intimately interwined with the history of the Lithuanian nation. Reputed as the only institution of higher education in the nation which is known to produce highly qualified specialists of agriculture, forestry and water management, the university is well known for its outstanding mix of traditional and modern teaching, research and educational activities. The endeavors of the university are currently being supervised by its Rector, Prof. Dr. Antanas Maziliauskas. The Agriculture Exhibition, Ka pasesi is one of the major conferences organized by this institution.
