ABOUT Manchester International Festival

The Manchester International Festival (MIF) is a cultural festival promoting new works from the wide range of performing arts, food, visual arts etc. Since its inception in 2007 it has been taking place twice every year in Manchester. With Cathy Gallagher as its Marketing Director, its primary objective is to showcase above ordinary shows and productions in collaboration with sponsors, media partners and presenters worldwide. The MIF, the flagship event of the organizing committee, is the brainchild of The City Council which aims at making Manchester the culture capital of the world. This festival looks out for original and latest works of artists worldwide. It tries to capture the most contemporary stories of the time and give it a launch pad. In other words it tries to present to the world the most extraordinary cultural festival of the modern time.
