ABOUT Marina Portoroz

Marina Portoroz, is an exclusive water sports centre in Lucija. Anton Spinelli, the father of the Casino Portoroz came up with the idea of constructing a water sports centre called Marina Portoroz in the small town Portoroz to boost the tourism sector there. Marina Portoroz was established in the year 1992 as a limited liability company under the ownership of Portoroz Tourist Company. As water sports centre it has hosted many carnivals and holiday special shows and offers for the tourists. The Extreme 40 World Championship hosted by the Ocean Racing Club emerged out as a very popular show. Apart from this the Internautica Boat Show and the various other occasions hosted by the Portoroz Yachting Club and the Portoroz tennis club are considered as a boost to the tourism sector of Lucija.
