Mining Engineering Department of the University of Chile is an exclusive department that aims towards the development and growth of the mining and metallurgical industry. The University of Chile is the oldest as well as the biggest centre for higher education in the country. This institution is situated in Santiago, Chile. Professor Victor Perez Vera is the rector of the University while Mr. Aldo Casali Bacelli is the Director of this particular department. Mining Engineering Department is a part of the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics or FCFM. Since its inception in 1853, this department has been providing excellent knowledge and technical proficiency in the field of mining engineering. This department was found under the guidance of Don Andres Bello. International Mineral Processing Seminar is one of the many conferences that this department has organized.
