Established on 1st June, 1992, the Newspaper Association of America (NAA) is the leading trade association of the publishing industry in USA consisting of more than 2,000 print-media houses in the U.S. and Canada as its members. Formed by the amalgamation of seven premier newspaper industry associations like 'American Newspaper Publishers Association', 'the Newspaper Advertising Bureau' and 'the Association of Newspaper Classified Advertising Managers' to name a few, NAA is the primary organization that aims to generate growth and progress in the industry. The head-office of this not-for-profit organization is situated in Arlington, near Washington, D.C and it is currently operating under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Mark G. Contreras and its President & CEO, Mr. John F. Sturm. NAA also organizes various trade-specific events including trade shows, conferences and workshops. 'mediaXchange' and 'Facebook Opportunities for Newspapers' are two of its very popular events.
