ABOUT Pathways

Pathways is a radical non-profit association established in 1992 by Dr. Sam Tsemberis, the founder and CEO of this organization. Headquartered at New York, Pathways was one of the first organizations which sought to address the problem of homelessness and came up with a unique housing model to aid people with psychiatric disabilities. It functions on the basic premise that the right to a safe shelter is indisputably a fundamental right of all humans. Pathways also provides a range of services and clinical treatments to those afflicted with mental diseases after moving them to a safe home. The association will organize the Housing First Partners Conference which will host officials from various levels of the state and federal government for discussions on ways to end homelessness through the Housing First model.
