ABOUT Poetics and linguistics Association

PALA is an international academic association for those who work in stylistics, poetics, and associated fields of language and linguistics. The Association is growing and now includes members from around fifty countries worldwide. It hosts an international conference each year, and sponsors seminars and symposia. The Association's journal, Language and Literature, is the foremost publication in the field. The PALA Roger Fowler Fund exists to support the work of postgraduate students in stylistics and related areas. The fund operates with only a small amount of money and current activities are restricted to small bursaries to support the costs of postgraduate students who are giving papers at the annual PALA conference. The aim of the PALA Ambassadors scheme is to encourage communication and interaction between PALA members.
