Pontificia Universidad Catolica, in Peru was founded in Lima in the year 1917 with only two departments, Arts and Law. Marcial Rubio Correa is the rector of the university. Today the Pontificia Universidad Catolica is rated as one of the top five hundred universities of the world with thousands of students and research scholars from all over the world. Every year Pontificia Universidad Catolica organizes many conferences for its graduate, doctorate and perspective students. These conferences are a way of creating a link between the technical and social science departments of the university to bring forth a balance in the field of interdisciplinary studies. Continuing Education, Dynamic Seminar on local diffeomorphism that are injective are some of the conferences organized by the university.
