Launched in 1993, the pioneering company Qatar Expo was established in response to a strong market demand for a professional exhibition company in Qatar. Guided by Managing Director, Mr. Esmat Selim, who has more than thirty years experience as a prominent trainer in some of Qatar's major corporate areas, Qatar Expo quickly gained a wealth of experience and an excellent reputation in the exhibition industry. Previous exhibitions include the influential DIOGE (Doha Int'l Oil & Gas Exhibition), QIMTECH-Qatar International Expo on Meteorological Technology and CAA Weather Monitoring, as well as exhibitions with a local interest such as Ramadan Fairs. In 1995, Qatar Expo, along with QCTC, was encompassed under the banner of the United Group for Projects. Qatar Expo was soon organising major industry ventures-overseeing high-profile exhibitions such as DIOGE, Doha International Motor Show and Doha's annual prestigious International Furniture Exhibition.
