ABOUT Religion & Society

Beginning in January of the year 2007, the Religion and Society was established in order to encourage various mutual activities across the disciplines of arts, humanities and social sciences. This organization is being financially supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Economic and Social research Council and its management is currently being led by its Director, Professor Linda Woodhead. Based in the UK, this premier committee works for the advancement of knowledge and understanding of religion and society and to open up newer and unexplored avenues for the purpose of research in a wide range of pertinent areas. The Jubilee Library Exhibition and the Mediating Modesty Symposium are two of its past events while the International Conference on Multi-Faith Spaces is its upcoming endeavor.
