ABOUT Russian State Library

The Library provides the right to use their reading rooms, all citizens of Russia and other states over 18 years of age. Every day here recorded about 200 new readers. In RSL every day comes almost 4000 people, and virtual reading rooms located in 80 cities in Russia and abroad on a daily basis serve more than 8000 visitors. Library funds for 140 years are all sorts of people. Among them are world-renowned scholars and students, practitioners and thinkers of our compatriots and foreigners.Russian State Library opens its abundant funds through a system of directories and files. Created and constantly updated electronic directory with free online access. Furthermore, RSL provides training of union catalogs of Russian books, publishes fundamental scientific support bibliographical aids.
