The Spanish National Research Council, also known as CSIC, is known to be the prime organization for research in Spain. Formed on 24th November, 1939, this organization had its precursor in Advanced Studies and Scientific Research, or JAE and is duly supported by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Currently being led by its President, Mr. D. Rafael Rodrigo Montero, this organization has its main office in Madrid while having 8 regional offices and 2 international offices. Playing a major part in the research and propagation of knowledge to the relevant sectors, this organization also organizes a wide range of conferences, meetings and seminars for this purpose. Having organized the Conference on Micro Raman Spectroscopy and Luminescence Studies in the Earth and Planetary Sciences, the CSIC is yet to come up with the International Conference on Computer Vision.
