ABOUT Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA)

A group of Stanford medical students and representatives from the top medical association group have created an association University Minority Medical Alliance (SUMMA). SUMMA works for the developments of health professionals to deliver underserved communities. Each year, approximately 500 attendees across the globe come to the pre-medical conference of SUMMA, which is conducted by the student organization of SUMMA to increase the diversity in health care. SUMMA organizes several workshops focused on Medical schools, Global health, career in Health sector and other related fields. The Stanford University Minority Medical Alliance Medical offer a Mentorship Program (SUMMA MMP), which focuses on pre-medical students at community and state colleges of the Bay Area.
