ABOUT Stift Klosterneuburg

Stift Klosterneuburg is one of most recognized monasteries in the world. It is an organization, whose history can be traced back to the year 1114. Saint Leopold III who was a Babenberger and also the patron saint of Austria, along with his wife Agnes established this monastery. In the year 1133 it was given to the Augustinian Canons to be established as a religious, social and cultural center. The aim of this organization is to bring forth growth in the faith, culture and wineries of this nation. This organization possesses the Klosterneuburg Monastery Winery.
