ABOUT Text & Academic Authors Association

Text and Academic Authors Association or TAA was founded by the math author Mike Keedy and this organization was established in the year 1987. It is now handled by the TAA Council which comprises of textbook and academic authors. It is a nonprofit association of such members whose sole concern is to help the textbook and academic authors. It also provides facilities regarding professional development gives information and regarding the industry and networking opportunities to not only the textbook authors but also to the authors of scholarly journals, articles and books. The 24th annual TAA conference was held in Albuquerque, NM from June 23 to 25. It was a huge success as it brought into contact 80 textbooks and academic authors who were keen to expand their boundary of knowledge regarding writing, contracts, royalties etc. It received high praise and acclaim because of the quality of the presenters, sessions, mentors and the different kinds of networking opportunities.
