Tucson Gem and Mineral Society Inc or the TGMS is a highly reputed organization that is aims for the development of geology, mineralogy, lapidary and associated earth sciences through its dedicated efforts in imparting knowledge and awareness among the interested community. Established in the year 1946, this organization operates through its general meetings, field trips, potlucks, educational classes and Micromount classes, apart from its much attended flagship event, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, which is held annually. This premier not for profit organization is currently being administered by its President, Ms. Diane Braswell. Headquartered at Tucson, Arizona, this US based organization also has a popular publication, Rock Talk, to its credit.
