ABOUT Turku Flying Club

Considered to be one of the largest general aviation clubs in Southwest Finland, the Turku Flying Club or the Aviation Club of Turku, as it is also known, has a rich history of training motor glider pilot since the year 1968. The main gliding operations are conducted from the headquarters of this premier club that is located in Oripaan and it is currently the leadership of its Board Chairman, Mr. Antti Jouppi. The Turku Flying Club is one of the most successful aviation organizations in the world and is wholly committed to the cause of the welfare and progress of the aviation industry of the country. It also encourages taking up of the aviation related adventure sports and provides extensive training and educative sessions on these. This club also plays a pivotal role in organizing the famous TURKU AIR SHOW, a leading event in this sector.
