ABOUT UK Physical Sciences Centre

The UK Physical Sciences Centre is one of the 24 Subject Centers in the Subject Network of the Higher Education Academy, a UK-wide initiative supported by the four Higher Education Funding Councils. Along with the Centre staff at the Universities of Hull (our host institution), Liverpool and Surrey, the Centre has a network of Departmental Representatives who provide a vital link between the Subject Centre and individual institutions. Our day to day activities are monitored by a Management Committee comprising the staff of the Centre. Centre policies are informed by an Advisory Committee (made up from academics working in the physical sciences, members of the appropriate learned societies and the Director and Manager: Communications from the Center) within the guidelines laid down by The Higher Education Academy to whom we report on an annual basis.
