Established on March, 1971, the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya BarcelonaTech, also known as UPC, is an eminent centre for higher studies that is located in the city of Barcelona. Specializing in the fields of architecture, engineering, merchant seamanship, economics, health sciences and applied mathematics, the management and administration of this university is currently being led by its Rector, Mr. Antoni Giro. Aiming to attain a position of worldwide recognition, this university has been constantly striving towards initiating a consistent process of development in the area of technological advancement through encouraging top level research. Having successfully organized the International PEACE Conference in past, this widely known university is yet to come up with the Seminar for Advanced Industrial Control Applications very soon.
