ABOUT Utrecht University

Utrecht University is one of the oldest and largest university in Europe situated in Utrecht, Netherlands and was established on 26 March 1636. It is research based university comprising of seven faculties covering the full range and variety of research and education. Since 1636 the university has grown up to be a leading and modern university having an international acclaim. According to the Shanghai rankings the University is in the first position in Netherlands, 12th position in the Europe and 48th place in the world. The university’s mission is to educate young people, train new generations of researchers, to produce academicians who have both specialist knowledge and professional skills etc. It offers 45 Bachelor’s degrees and 169 Master’s degree programmes and many of them are taught in English.
