ABOUT Valencian Institute for Agricultural Research

Valencian Institute for Agricultural Research, also known as IVIA is a self directed organization, of the local Government of Valencia. Primarily allotted to the fishery, agriculture, and agro food department of the region, IVIA focuses to kindle the scientific research, and technological advances in the agro-food industry of Valencia. Built in 1984, the promotion of IVIA involves activities, information,facts, and seminars comprising subsequent knowledge about agro industry, services and publications and conferences related to the agro sector. The main highlight of IVIA is the research it undertakes to endorse the agriculture sector of Valencia, under the careful leadership of their Director General Mr. Florentino Juste. The research areas of IVIA includes irrigation and cultivation techniques, biotechnology, selecting and reproducing of plant material, protection and security of the plant, and better harvesting techniques. Based in Moncada Philippines, IVIA conducts several scientific conferences and seminars, and scientific publications.
