ABOUT Waseda University

Waseda University is one of the most esteemed institutions of higher learning in not only Japan but in the entire Asia. In the year 1882, this university was established as Tokyo Senmon Gakko by Shigenobu Okuma, a scholar and a government leader. It was in the year 1902 that this institution was renamed Waseda University. Mr. Kaoru Komata is the President of this university. This is a private university that has its main campus situated in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan. The aim of this premier center of learning is to offer education and research work that would be highly advantageous in the all round development and safety of the world. The internationalization of education and research as well as international exchange are also focused by this university. The Third Asian Conference on Education is an event that would be co organized by this university.
