ABOUT Waterways Council, Inc

Beginning its journey in December of the year 2003, the Waterways Council Inc is a national organization based in the US that deals with the system of inland waterways, ports and harbors across the nation. The main office of this organization is located in Arlington in Virginia and it is currently under the leadership of its Chairman, Mr. Richard Calhoun and its President and CEO, Mr. Mike Toohey. Striving to ensure that the network of inland watercourse is properly sustained and preserved, this organization promotes the sector while making sure that the required funds are supplied by the government. Also known by its abbreviated form of WCI, it also takes the lead in generating various developments in this sector such as maintaining the infrastructure and related construction projects. Waterways Symposium and Annual Meeting is one of the major WCI events.
