ABOUT Wilderness Education Association

WEA National Office is situated on the Indiana University campus in Bloomington, Indiana. Wilderness Education Association has been a leader in outdoor leadership instruction since 1977 and it is planned for programs currently providing outdoor leadership training. The mission of the WEA is to promote the professionalism of outdoor leadership through concerning of national standards, implementation, sponsorship, and research driven initiatives. WEA promotes professionalism through the following strategies like certification, endorsement, relationship, membership, program consulting, research and the development of partnership. It is dedicated to promoting and improving the professionalism of outdoor leadership with the direct help and direction of the group of people. WEA is a co-sponsor of the Journal of Outdoor leisure Education and Leadership with the Association of outdoor amusement.
