The Wisconsin Lutheran College was set up in the fall of 1973, having then only a part time faculty and some two dozen students. It is a college of Liberal Arts and is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Its campus comprises of the Gary Greenfield Administration Building, The Campus Center, The Center of Arts and Performance, the Marwin M. Schwan Library building, the Science Hall, a recreational facility, two dormitories and several apartment buildings very close to the college campus. The college provides teaching, scholarships and services of high quality and whose base is fully embedded in the Holy Scriptures, and its mission is to enhance the spiritual growth of students, faculty and staff. The college works on its four tier philosophy of- Declaration of Faith, Adherence, Confessional Affiliation and Principles of Education.
