ABOUT Wisconsin Parents Association

Wisconsin Parents Association or WPA was founded in the year 1984. The motive of this association was to oppose the legislation that limited the freedoms of homeschoolers by giving the power and authority in the hands of Department of Public Instruction. Since then this association has successfully met all the challenges coming in its way. This association gives information about homeschooling to the legislature, media and the general public. It also maintains a conducive climate of opinion for homeschooling in Wisconsin. The eight flexible principles of WPA have made the homeschoolers in Wisconsin maintain their freedom. WPA has also faced much brute opposition from educational establishments, legislators and from some members of the general public but it has always succeeded in dealing with its critics.
