ABOUT World Stroke Organization

World Stroke Organization is an association that is completely dedicated to the cause of stroke care and the well being of its victim. This organization, which is also known by its abbreviation that is WSO, was founded in the year 2006. The two most renowned organizations that represent stroke in the world platform called International Stroke Society or ISS and the World Stroke Federation or WSF had amalgamated to form World Stroke Organization. Professor Bo Norrving is the President this association. The headquarters of this association is situated in Geneva, Switzerland. The WSO biennial Congress, which is known as World Stroke Congress is the flagship conference of this organization. This conference is organized once in every 2 years. The aim of this organization is to propagate awareness through research and teaching in the field of stroke prevention, management and care.
