ABOUT Yamagata University

Yamagata University is a one of the major institutes of higher learning in the entire nation of Japan. This is a national university that has its main campus in Yamagata, Japan apart from its other campuses in Yonezawa and Tsuruoka. The history of this university goes back to the year 1878, when the Yamagata Normal School that was a public teacher training institution, was established. In the year 1949 this university was founded. Mr. Akio Yuki is the President of this University which is abbreviated as YU.
