ABBYY Sharing Its Experience in India Market within St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2011

Moscow, Russia (June 23, 2011) - ABBYY, a leading provider of document recognition, document capture, and linguistic technologies and services, took part in XV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2011. St. Petersburg hosted one of the world's leading discussion forums in June 16-18, 2011. ABBYY 3A in the person of its CEO Elena Pospelova participated in Business round table "Russia - India Business Dialogue" held within SPIEF 2011 under the chairmanship of Sergei Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India. Russia and India have long-standing and fruitful strategic commercial relations, encompassing a wide range of economic, scientific and technical matters, and has been an important element to fostering the development of high tech and innovation in both countries.

During the round table Mrs. Pospelova has presented ABBYY successful projects in India such as present-day Bank of India project and Child Census made on ABBYY Data Capture Technology by Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA), Government of India. Orissa project got several governmental awards. The main one is Indian Prime Minister's Award for outstanding initiative in public administration.
