Indian Business Aviation Expo 2011

With one month to go the 2nd IBAE conference and exhibition is gathering pace. All booths and sponsorship packages are now sold and over 250 delegates are expected at this vibrant annual gathering for the rapidly expanding GA and Business aviation industry in India. The delegate and exhibitor profile is truly global and reflects the importance of India to OEMs and industry professionals.

MIU chairman and event originator, Alan Perry, said, "It is my view that of all the BRIC economies, India is likely to be the most dynamic and sustainable bizav growth market over the next decade. Although there are regulatory and bureaucratic barriers, there is a real sense that India is shifting up a gear and the executive branch is now embracing the idea of GA and Business aviation. The announcement last week of the biggest commercial order in aviation history from Indian low cost carrier, IndiGo, is a testament to how the aviation market is developing and it is only a matter of time before bizav takes off in earnest."

The conference and exhibition, the only dedicated GA and Business aviation event in India, takes place over two days on 21/22 February at the Shangri-la hotel in New Delhi and is followed by a specialist workshop on Wednesday 23, addressing issues relevant to private air charter operators. Sessions during the conference itself will address funding private aircraft, mission requirements, operating business aircraft, establishing affordable private aviation for the business community, dedicated ground handling, aviation law and understanding the regulatory process in India, manufacturing and technology, innovation and pilot training.

The event is fully supported by the Business Aviation Association of India, Rotary Wing Society of India, BBGA, CEPA, GAMA and IAFTP.
