PALME Asia a Resounding Success

PALME Asia, South East Asia's most established international exhibition for professional audio, lighting, AV, systems integration, music software & IT and entertainment technology returned with new treats and in a new venue - the new Marina Bay Sands Conference & Exhibition centre - this year. Organised by IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd and supported by the Association of Screen Media Owners Singapore (AMOS), China Entertainment Technology Association (CETA), Digital Screenmedia Association, Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS) and the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB), PALME Asia was held concurrently with Install Asia and featured Digital Display Tech.

PALME Asia showcased over 168 brands and companies from 26 countries occupying a total area of 12,550 sqm. Over the 3 days, some 5019 visitors attended the event out of which 1456 were overseas visitors from 45 different countries. The success of the PALME Asia 2011 exhibition was reiterated by both exhibitors and visitors alike.

Many exciting activities were organized as part of the three-day exhibition including Three New Precedence: the first being The 'Great PALME Sales' which was a special feature area on the exhibition showfloor where visitors were able to purchase pro audio, lighting and AV products at special discounted prices, offered only at PALME Asia 2011 from leading brands like Abtus, Audix Microphones, DTS Lighting, Fostex, Klotz Cables, Optoma, PR Lighting, SM Pro Audio, Zero88 and many others. The second being the Career Advancement Hub which was jointly organised by Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd. Singaporeans and Singapore PRs interested to work in the MICE and Entertainment industry could meet their potential employers at the fair with more than 100 vacancies and training opportunities available such as stage crew and technicians. Visitors at the show also had a first-hand experience with the 3D LED Showcase at PALME Asia. 3DIS showcased how to effectively utilize out-of-the-box 3D LED technology for various live entertainment events and industries like real estate, theme parks and visitor centres. Other LED solution providers present at the show included Barco, Optotech, Radiant, Wilson Metals and many others.

Educational seminar sessions as well as a series of exhibitor workshops took place throughout the three-day exhibition focusing on five key areas: Digital Display Technology, Houses of Worship, Live Event Design, Professional Audio and Sound Reinforcement Design.
