Sino Folding Carton 2011

9 August, 2011 - The biggest event in China's folding carton industry, SinoFoldingCarton, had another successful run at Beijing's China International Exhibition Center from July 6 to July 8. The first-time hosting of the show in Beijing was a strategic move by Reed Exhibitions to capitalize on an important region for the numerous folding carton producers and equipment suppliers keen to break into the North China market.

By comprehensively showcasing new equipment, materials and manufacturing solutions for the entire folding carton industry, SinoFoldingCarton 2011 offered a perfect channel through which producers and suppliers were able to develop fresh cooperation opportunities.

The show was also the biggest packaging and printing event in North China this year. It attracted the highest profile producers and suppliers of the equipment used to make folding cartons, rigid boxes, plastic boxes, cigarette box labels and paper bags. SinoFoldingCarton's organizers, Reed Exhibitions, produced a showcase where new folding carton production and processing solutions were displayed across 20,000 sqm. About 300 companies featured their new products and innovative technologies, 22 of them for the very first time, at SinoFoldingCarton 2011.

A Diverse Display of Top Brands Because Reed brought together high profile equipment and consumables suppliers in folding carton processing, the top products and technologies were on display. Several exhibitors even used the show to introduce new equipment to the market. Well renowned local and international companies like Masterwork Machinery, the Shengding Group, Founder Electronics, Meiguang Machinery, Hongjing, Tokyo Wenhong, Esko-Graphic, Sandvik, Henkel, Valco, Nordon and HHS exhibited.

Printer producers from Yutian and Wenzhou combined to highlight the new printing developments from their cities. Shengli Weiye, Yuanheng, Xingyuan, Kingvida, Jiajie, Meitian and Kestar, from Yutian, were among the high profile printing machine suppliers to showcase products. Other manufacturers of printers, like Zhengrun, Jinbao, Zhengbo, Wutai, Qidi, Xinwei, Hade and Guowei, from Wenzhou, also displayed their top innovations.

Key local and international players in the cutting and bronzing segments, like Masterwork, Shengli Weiye, Shengding Group, Yahua, Tokyo Wenhong, Tangshan Yuanheng, Tangshan Xianfeng, Hongjing, Chengyuan, Weihai Pecno, Wity, Xinchuang and Xinlian, displayed their core products in Beijing. Box gluing experts Hongjing, Wenhong, Chengyuan, Jiajie, Xinlian, Chengming and Jiayi also brought their latest technologies; while Lizhong, Fangbang, Zhengbo and Kelong highlighted the newest solutions for the automatic processing of paper bags.

Additionally, well-known local folding carton equipment producers like Qingdao Meiguang, Yutian Shengtian, Meitian and Juxing featured their new paper mounting machinery. Other equipment and consumables suppliers like EskoArtwork, Sandvik, Hung Shuh, Shanghai Xinao, Hexin, Henkel, Valco, Nordson, HHS, Jingxin and Yuanchuang also displayed new innovations at the show.

Popular electronic monitoring code solution suppliers Founder, Beijing Shield Science & Technology, Maintop Technology, Domino, Yuanchuang, Dragon, Tiancen, Dingheng and Qirui also displayed the most advanced technologies and equipment folding carton producers will need to penetrate the rapidly emerging medicine packaging market.

Reed Adds Complementary, Value-Enhancing Events to SinoFoldingCarton SinoFoldingCarton 2011 offered even more value for participants through collocated, complementary events. The organizers also arranged various forums and conference activities to enhance the exhibition and provide a robust platform on which exhibitors were able to conduct technical exchanges and educate their fellow industry professionals on new scientific and technological advancements.

On July 6, the hugely popular "Packaging Printing Fortune Forum", a focus on the current developmental situation, as well as new markets, products and opportunities in the printing and packaging industry, attracted over 100 managers from Beijing, Tianjin, Langfang, Chongqing and Shandong.

The following day, the Seminar on Electronic Monitoring Code Technology presented a proposal to apply local and international mainstream variable printing systems to drug monitoring codes. The pharmaceutical and printing companies that participated were very enthusiastic in their response. Indeed, there was not a single seat to spare during the presentation.

Keynote addresses on topical issues like "Green Printing and Food Packaging"; "Sandvik's Innovative Die-Cutting Solutions: The Intelligent Knife" and "Domino Solutions for Drug Monitoring Code Printing Factories" were also delivered on-site.

Rounding off the wide array of activities were the group purchasing events; the showcase for premium quality cigarette box labels for high profile brands and the Packaging Star and World Star winners' exhibition. These events added an element of fun and vibrancy to the show.
