Business Overview
Saint Petersburg is a financial and industrial center of Russia. The city is a very important city of Russia in terms of trade, specially oil and gas trade. The city has several important industries like shipbuilding yards, aerospace industry and other electronic and IT industries. The machine building and mining industries are also very well developed in the region.

The major companies of St. Petersburg are Admiralty Shipyard, Baltic Shipyard, LOMO, Kirov Plant, Elektrosila and the Izhorsky Zavod. The importance of St. Petersburg is enhanced due to the presence of three cargo seaports namely Bolshoi Port, Kronstadt, and Lomonosov. The Saint Petersburg also has one of the only two mint present in Russia.

The Monetny Dvor Mint was founded in 1724. It is one of the largest mints in the world. The city also has the five large-scale breweries - Baltika, Vena , Heineken Brewery, Stepan Razinand Tinkoff brewery. St. Petersburg is also known as the Beer capital of Russia. Saint Petersburg also boasts of having the second largest construction industry in Russia.

St. Petersburg Sport and Concert Complex:
The St. Petersburg Sport and Concert Complex is the largest sports and cultural event facility in Russia. The center is a famous venue not only Russia but in the whole Europe. The center came into existence in the year 1980 when architects I.M. Chaiko, N.V. Baranov, F.N. Yakovlev and engineer L.V. Yakhontov joined hands to create this magnificent complex. The center is located in the Moskovsky Victory Park. The spacious Hall has around 25,000 seats and is flexible enough to hold a variety of events. The hall is equipped with two large screens, both 33 x 18 metres. The venue offers city's biggest exhibition space.
