South African International Trade Exhibition is an eagerly awaited event where exhibitors across industry segments display their wares and services to a large number of national and international trade visitors. The Gallagher Convention Center in Johannesburg hosts this well attended show which aims to provide businesses in Africa a platform to form trade relations with their counterparts from the region and also engage in dialogues with other players from different parts of the world. South African International Trade Exhibition is co located with Africa's Big Seven, an event which caters to the food and beverage industry in Africa. More than 400 exhibitors from the retail and light machinery sectors participate, showcasing their products and services to some 12,700 visitors from over 40 countries.

Products like FMCG goods, white goods, brown goods, home entertainment products, plastics, indoor and outdoor furniture items, cookware, kitchenware, rugs and carpets, soft furnishings, leather goods and footwear, textiles, sports and gym equipments, camping equipments, garden tools, manufacturing and packaging machinery for plastics, stationery, clothing and footwear, food and beverages, light building and construction machinery, hardware, generators, compressors, plumbing products, sanitary ware and welding machines are also displayed. Service categories like tourism, development, logistics and transport and financial and investment services are also focused upon in this trade show. The previous edition had 403 exhibitors from 39 nations displaying their goods and services at an international platform.

South African International Trade Exhibition welcomes agents, exporters and importers, distributors, important decision makers, buyers, members of trade associations, industrial leaders and government officials as visitors. More than 12,700 attendees from 44 countries visited the event in its previous edition, of which 57.39 percent had purchase finalizing authority, 5.85 percent had purchase specifying authority and 18.10 percent had purchase recommending authority. Some 65.8 percent visitors were CEOs, MDs, Directors and owners of various companies and 60 percent of the attendees rated the show as good.
