Singapore Railway Transportation:
The MRT railway system came into existence in the year 1987. The rail line linked Yio Chu Kang and Tao Payoh. The MRT is a easy,speedy and cheap way of traveling round the city. Metro: Three Wheelers are also known as Tri-Shaw or Tuk-Tuks. The three wheelers were introduced in 1940s and due to rapid modernizations they have lost their importance. They can be still seen in the old Singapore areas.

Taxis: Taxicabs are metered and cover almost every part of Singapore. Taxis are the most comfortable means of public transport. However, one has to pay more for this convenient facility.
