alliance formed between Johannesburg Tourism Company and Exhibition
Association of Southern Africa (Exsa) promotes Johannesburg as a prime
destination for national and international exhibitions, conventions and
special events to a great extent.
The city houses more than 800 venues for all types of conferences, meetings
and trade events like Expo Centre Nasrec, Gallagher Estate and Sandton
Convention Center.

Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE):
Situated at Sandton region near Johannesburg, JSE is the largest stock
exchange in Africa and 16th largest worldwide.
The exchange has over 400 listed companies and has billion-dollar market
capitalization and average monthly traded value.
Expo Center, Nasrec:
Known for its warm hospitality and professional services, Expo Center
Nasrec is the largest and most versatile exhibition, convention and events
venue of South Africa. The center offers over 42,000m2 of covered space and
80,000m2 of additional outdoor multi purpose space.
Further the center has every facility a visitor can thing of. Besides
having a secure parking for up to 20000 vehicles, the venue is also equipped
with all infrastructural requirements such as banking facilities,
telecommunication services and five star in house catering facilities.
Major Commercial Areas
Sandton:
Sandton is new premier business and financial center of Johannesburg
featuring many corporate headquarters, JSE and Johannesburg Expo Center
along with Nelson Mandela Square, Wanderers Stadium and the most prestigious
cricket ground in South Africa. The region has gained this commercial in the
last 15 years since much of the financial focus of the city has shifted here
from the Central Business District. Since then the skyline of Sandton has

including Nedbank along with a considerable amount of city's A-grade office
space, the area is also an important retail hub. One of the main attractions

Sandton houses most of the luxury hotels of Johanna as well.

Boksburg:
Lying on the East Rand of Gauteng, Boksburg is the place where gold was
discovered in 1887. The fact that the region is linked with other major
mining towns through the main Reef Road makes it a diversified industrial
center and most important gold-producing towns on Witwatersrand.
Well connected by most of the neighbouring important cities and well
provided by most of the basic facilities especially water through the dam on
Boksburg Lake, Boksburg has wide range of manufacturing units flourishing
around it.
