The Zurich Hauptbahnhof (HB) is the main train station in the city. The station has several trains to Swiss and European cities. The station operates S-Bahn commuter trains, InterCity (IC and ICN) , Cisalpino, Germany's ICE, France's TGV and numerous other European train services.

Local Transportation of Zurich:
Trains: The local rail system in Zurich is maintained and operated by S-Bahn. The commuter trains are not only cheap but also a very fast mode of transport in the city.

Trams: Trams are another most common mode of getting around the city of Zurich. However the tram stops at only a few stops and covers only the major areas of the city.

Bus: The bus system in Zurich is very well organized. The buses are properly scheduled and are mostly on time.
