I travelled from Sunbury for my usual day from the family and indulging in my crafting passions. What a disappointment. Hardly any of the old exhibitors you go to see. Where where the exhibitors, I think there were more coffee points than stalls. It took me 1/2 hr to go round, by the time you took our the guilds etc and the misc stalls selling odd items, it was a very short stay. Obviously the public throught so to, there was no one there. Usally by 11.00am its 4 deep at the stalls, not this weekend, the isles where empty. I''ll really have to think about going next year.

Hi, I visit the Craft Show at the Melbourne Showgrounds and thought what an awful day I had there - stalls were too far spaced out nothing seemed to come together. I actually prefer it to be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre - which is very easy for everyone to access. Caulfield is second best - so I will be attending tomorrow at Caulfield but I not bother to go back to the Showgrounds. I hope that someone takes notice of the feedback you get from other people. I am a president of a club in Frankston and other members came back with the same thoughts as me - never again at the showgrounds. Jo.

Went with a group of 6 friends to the new venue of the Showgrounds....what a disappointment...not one of us liked it. So wrong for this type of craft show. PLEASE dont ever think of doing it there again. Everything was wrong, No atmosphere at all. And a singer at the end of the pavilion was surplus to requirements, didnt fit in at all. So please take note....we didnt like it. !!!

Hated the Showgrounds - much better atmosphere at Caulfield. Always used to attend at least 2 days at Caulfield. Woundn''t attend at Showgrounds again.

not happy last year at sowgrounds. got wet to my underwear. if i was by myself i would take next train back to gippsland. the show just did not hawe the right atmosfere. if it was at showgrouns i would not wisit again. caulfield is better.

Hated the showgrouns venue. So glad to be back at Caulfield on soft carpet, warmth and better eating facilities. Was never attending again if staying at Show Grounds.

Last year was great and I was delighted they took note of our suggestion and organised large brollies at each hall for use between pavillions in the pouring rain! Good to know we won''t have to worry bout the weather this yr! I still love it at Caulfield, tho, as catering is better and workshops are fine in both places - Perhaps it will be more spread out with bigger aisles than they used to have? I felt there wasn''t a lot of occasional seating at the showgrounds tho I loved the wide aisles and open spaces. Caulfield is not quite so user friendly to folks in motorised scooters [due to narrow aisles]but my friend and I go evry yr - my friend hires a scooter as she has limited mobility and we wouldn''t miss it for anything! We come from Bendigo evry yr and stop for the whole 5 days doing workshops and checking out all the stalls! We stop at the backpacker''s to save money so we can spend it at the show!!

Showgrounds was much better venue in 2009. Why the move back to Caulfield? Workshops were great fun, too.
