Overview
Situated right in the heart of England, Birmingham is countrys second
largest city. Often the very name of the city is associated with factories,
industries and smoke, as Birmingham has long been known as one of the main
industrial centers of Britain. It was here that the Industrial Revolution
made great progress and gave it the title of "the workshop of the world"
or "city of a thousand trades". Even today a diverse manufacturer
of many products like Chocolate, Cars and Jewellery makes it Britains
largest core city.
Making innovative diversification, Birmingham has always been a progressive
city having a recognizing potential for convention business. Housing three
of the most prestigious venues of events and conferences, the city has
turned itself into one of the great meeting places of Europe.
Not only an important commercial and manufacturing center, the city is also
gradually appreciated for its museums and art galleries, markets, eateries
and more canals than Venice.
