Airport:
The city of Seattle is served by two airports:
- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is the major commercial
port serving the city of Seattle. The airport is also known as SeaTac
Airport. The airport is located in the city of Sea Tac and is owned and
operated by the Port of Seattle. The airport has flights to all major
cities of the world. The airport can easily be reached by taxis, shuttle
buses, rental cars or buses.
- Boeing Field airport is another airport serving the city. The
airport mainly operated cargo flights.
Seattle Railway Transportation:
Amtrak has trains from/to several destinations of USA. There are trains
connecting Seattle to Vancouver , Eugene, Oregon and Portland. The main
station of the city is the Seattle's King Street Station located south of
downtown, near Safeco Field.
Local Transportation of Seattle:
Metro Transit owns and operates various electric, hybrid and diesel city
buses in Seattle. The green and white metro buses also runs several express
buses for daily commuters between residential neighborhoods and downtown.
The metro express buses stops at minimal stops. All the Metro buses are air
conditioned.
Sound Transit operates a network of diesel and hybrid buses, trains in the
city and is slightly expensive then metro. The Sound Transit buses provide
easy access to all major destinations in and around Seattle. The sound
transit also has a commuter rail service called the Sounder between
Seattle-Tacoma and Seattle-Everett. Apart from this the streetcar line and
the South Lake Union Streetcar are the other transit systems operating in
the city.
