Opened in the year 1976, Liberty State Park is situated on the Upper New York Bay, opposite to world famous Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry, is vested on 1212 acres and is surrounded by water. It is well connected with different means of transportation. The Hudson Bergen Light Rail runs from the west of the park and has a station at its entrance. Here Hornblower Cruises is operating its ferries to Ellis Island and Liberty Island.
