The VDA nationally & internationally promotes the interests of the entire German automotive industry in all fields of the motor transport sector, for example in economic, transport & environmental policy, technical legislation, standardisation & quality assurance. In addition, the VDA organises, under its own auspices, the IAA International Motor Show, which is held every year. The IAA Passenger Cars is held in odd-numbered years & in even-numbered years it is the turn of the IAA Commercial Vehicles.

Event Profile: International Motor Show (IAA) is the world's most comprehensive show for the whole industry, which makes it the international platform for all those who develop, manufacture or use passenger cars. The IAA Motor Show presents passenger cars, tuning, special vehicles, trailers for cars, equipment for workshops and garages, and parts and accessories. A special feature of the International Motor Show (IAA) is the large presence of the makers of parts and accessories: over 500 exhibitors from the supply industry will be presenting their products.
