The Holiday Season Kicks Off Dec 2, 2011at The West Coast Christmas Show
The 4th Annual West Coast Christmas Show and Marketplace launches the start of the 2011 Holiday Season at Tradex in Abbotsford on December 2-4, 2011.. Nearly two hundred companies will be offering a wide array of gift style goods such as toys, candles, skin care products, cashmere scarves, jewelry and more. Handbags and clutches, designer accessories and games surrounded by artisan crafters offering handmade candies, vinegars, dressings, honey and a lot more, are only a sampling of the huge variety of hard to find products that visitors will discover at the show. Watch for the Select Artisan sign for assurance of quality artisan/crafter products throughout the show. The West Coast Christmas Show is Western Canada's foremost Holiday Season Show that brings together under one roof Holiday gifts, food, personal services, festive seminars, and celebrity stage presentations. Visitors will also discover new ideas and products for holiday gift shopping, entertaining and home decorating ideas provided on the Home for the Holidays Stage by interior decorators and celebrity chefs. The Festival of Trees, created by local charitable organizations, will have uniquely decorated Christmas tree displays, providing visitors a welcome grand entrance to the show. Entering the show, visitors will be entertained by a variety of musicians performing holiday music on the Sounds of the Holidays Stage and wandering carol singers, and of course Santa will be on hand each day to pose for pictures with the family, bring your own cameras. Returning again this year is the Gingerbread Chalet Competition created by students of the Rick Hanson Secondary School. There will be over three dozen chalets creating a village around a gingerbread reproduction of the school. Returning again is the extremely popular Dairy Farmer’s of Canada Cheese Seminar Stage. Visitors will learn how to pair wine with cheese for their next holiday gathering, while sampling a variety of delicious cheeses from across the country. Seminars run throughout the weekend.
